MWOS FC optimistic ahead of Harare City encounter

It’s what most people are calling the game of the week. MWOS FC hosts Harare City at MWOS Ngoni Stadium. Two big teams who are at the top of the league table and gunning for promotion. When the two teams met earlier in the season, the game ended in a draw. With only six points seperating them, this game promises to be intense.

The MWOS FC camp seems to be very optimistic heading into the encounter. “It’s another game to win. We are at home, and we are treating each game with the highest leve of priority. We are confident.” These were the words of Kudakwashe Chidonza who joined the Punters half way into season from PSL side, Cranborne Bullets. Chidonza, who plays in the midfield under Lloyd Mutasa, expressed his pleasure to be playing for MWOS FC and how devoted the players were to winning every game until the end of the season. “It’s a great squad; I am happy to be part of it, and with the unity we have, the sky is the limit.”

Kudzai Zhuwaki was also in high spirits. ‘We are going to take this game as we have done with our other games. We are not going to drop points. We want to collect maximum points at all costs. The morale is very high in our camp, and don’t forget our theme; Persue, overtake and recover all. MWOS is my home, and I will always fight for the badge and the points.” Zhuwaki who has been pivotal for the Punters this season, is expected to feature in the game against Harare City. His influence could help the Punters edge Harare City.

A couple of other players also supported Head Coach Lloyd Mutasa’s comments. “Father (Lloyd Mutasa) was right. The fans are going to be pivotal. We hope they show up in their numbers and support us. We need their support if we are to win,” said Noah Simango.
