MWOS FC unbeaten at home since Division 2

The Punters have yet to lose a match at MWOS Ngoni Stadium. The record dates back to their spell in Mashonaland West Division 2, where they spent the entire season without losing a game at home. They have continued this good run of form at home this season, as they have won one and drawn the other of the two games they have played at home.

MWOS FC hosts Z.R.P. Harare this Saturday in Matchday Six of the Northern Region Soccer League. The two teams went head-to-head during the pre-season at the same venue. The Punters emerged victorious in the encounter thanks to a last-minute goal from Martin Nhubu, who scored a stunner from long range to seal a 3-2 win. This match is another chance for MWOS FC to get one over their visitors again and get all three points.

The Norton-based team recently signed Lloyd Mutasa as its new head coach. The appointment is another step taken by the club to try and bring as much quality and experience into the club as possible. This fits into the club’s initiative to try and gain promotion into the Premier Soccer League. The encounter against Z.R.P. Harare is a chance for the new coach to showcase what he can do with the set of players he currently has. He made mention of Chris Samakweri, Brighton Banda, and Kevin Waya in his interview. Saying they are exceptional players who will produce results for the club. Fans await to see what his impact on the club will be.
