Will Chinhoyi Stars FC be MWOS FC’s latest victim?

The Punters are in splendid form so far this season. After four games, they are still unbeaten and fourth in the league with two clean sheets. They travel to Chinhoyi to face Chinhoyi Stars this Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Chinhoyi Stadium.

After their one-nil win over Banket United FC, the punters now face a familiar opponent. The two teams met in the pre-season preparations, and MWOS FC triumphed by three goals to one. The boys are, however, not being complacent about the match, as they are aware that anything can happen in a football match, and they will be fully preparing for the encounter.

Top performers are now emerging from the sqaud. The fans have been wowed by the performances of new boys Jim Gwara, Martin Nhubu, and Arthur Banda in attack, as they have complimented Jerimah Makangire, giving the team more options in attack. Kudzai Zhuwaki, Tafadzwa Nyabunze and Chris Samakwere have proved that they can hold the game down even in the absence of Marshal Kawashu. Complemented by Tryon Matongorere, the MWOS FC midfield is solid. The defensive duo of Admire Dzumbunu and Jordan Pedro have been nicknamed “the wall” by the fans as nothing can penetrate through them. Together with the expertise of Lee Runodamoto and Robson Chaleka, the squad seems to be in high morale and confident to face any opponent.

Tinashe Simango has yet to make a start this season. His contribution to the team cannot be undermined once he gets the chance. Blessing Mwandimutsira has won the hearts of many in goal, and he doesn’t seem to be stopping. The coaches are confident about the team, and morale is high in the squad. A positive result is expected heading into the encounter against Chinhoyi Stars FC.
