MWOS FC U19 Set to Kick Off New Season on February 28
The MWOS FC U19 squad is preparing to begin the new season on February 28, ready to build on lessons from last year and integrate a strong group of new signings. Operating as the development arm of MWOS FC, the U19 team plays a vital role in feeding talent into the senior squad, which now competes in Zimbabwe’s top tier after acquiring a Premier Soccer League (PSL) slot in 2025.
Looking Back at 2025
The 2025 season was a challenging but developmental campaign for MWOS FC U19. Across 19 matches in the Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL), the team recorded 4 wins, 5 draws, and 10 losses, highlighting inconsistency. At one point, the squad hovered near the bottom of the table, facing intense pressure to avoid relegation.
Despite this, there were bright moments, including a 4–0 victory over Chinhoyi Stars that ensured survival, and a morale-boosting 1–0 win over Zambezi G&C. Players like Tinotenda Chaleka and Tadiwa Zhou showed attacking promise, while veteran figures helped instill resilience and professional growth.
New Signings and Squad Strength
For the 2026 season, MWOS FC U19 has strengthened the squad with key additions:
Brandon ‘Dembele’ Nyamandu – Defender
Keane Maravanyika – Central Midfielder
Ryan Chapfika – Centre Back
Leeroy Zhawu – Defender
Patrick Manyoni – Centre Back
Tanaka Maseko – Attacking Midfielder
Tinashe Nyatsambo – Defender
Takudzwa Duncan – Left Winger
Tendai Chisenzere – Defensive Midfielder
Under Coach Ngoko’s guidance, these additions are expected to bring balance, depth, and tactical maturity, addressing inconsistencies from last season.
Fans can look forward to an exciting season, with young talents stepping up under Coach Ngoko. Regular updates will provide insight into training sessions, match previews, and standout performances.
With a mix of new signings, returning players, and structured coaching, MWOS FC U19 is set to make a strong statement in the NRSL while continuing to nurture the next generation of stars for the senior squad.
