MWOS Ngoni Stadium, a fortress
The Punters will be hosting Kadoma-based side Come Again FC on Saturday, June 3, at MWOS Ngoni Stadium. MWOS FC will head into the match in high spirits, as their home turf has been a fortress and a place where they can be confident of walking away with the points.
Come Again, who were once headed by MWOS FC’s current assistant head coach Wonder Ngoko, are currently eleventh on the NRSL table. They have won four, drawn two, and lost five of the eleven games that have been played so far. MWOS FC, on the other hand, are fourth on the NRSL table with 20 points, five points below league leaders Black Mambas. MWOS FC has had good form at home that dates back to their days in the Mashonalanda-West Division 2 league. This has seen the Punters go undefeated at home for over a year now.
The odds seem to be in favour of the hosts, who are yet to be beaten at home this season. Also, Come Again FC’s away form this season has been inconsistent. The Punters will take delight in their ability to score goals. They have been able to score more goals at home lately, managing to score three past Karoi United in their last home game. Authur Banda and Marshal Kawashu lead the scoring for MWOS FC, both with three goals. Chris Samakwere has netted twice, with other players on the cards to score also.
MWOS FC played a draw against former PSL side Harare City FC, and they will surely be pumped up to try and win the game against Come Again FC.
