U17s Secure Comfortable Victory Over Shepherd Reef Mine
MWOS FC’s U17 side registered a convincing victory this past weekend, dispatching Shepherd Reef Mine by three goals to nil in a dominant display.
The Young Punters controlled the encounter from the outset, with Cleopas Masumbuko and Crespo Mbiriri on the scoresheet to secure the points. Their clinical finishing ensured the team built a comfortable lead, reflecting a positive and effective team performance.
The result leaves the U17s 15th in the Mashonaland West Division 2B league table, with 24 points accrued from their 28 fixtures so far this campaign.
Head Coach Duncan Milanzi reflected on the season as a whole, framing it as a successful building block for the future. “We have been building a good team and trying to get organised so that we can have the best players for the team,” Milanzi stated. “We have had a creditable season, and the next one is also important. This campaign was more of a foundation to start from, and we are hopeful for better things to come.”
The victory provides a positive note as the development squad continues to lay the groundwork for long-term success within the MWOS FC academy structure.
