MWOS FC U19 Head Coach Wonder Ngoko says the team’s commitment during the mid-season break is already producing positive results after a convincing 2-0 victory over Harare City at MWOS Ngoni Stadium.

The result completed a league double over Harare City after the Young Punters had also secured a 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign.

Timmy Kushata and Tanaka Maseko found the back of the net in the first half to hand MWOS FC U19 all three points in a crucial MCM Estates Northern Region Soccer League encounter.

Speaking after the match, Coach Ngoko expressed his delight with the performance and praised his players for their dedication during the break.

“I’m very happy since this is our first game after a three-week break,” said Ngoko.

“The win is okay for us.”

“We started the match well and we are also happy to have started the second half of our campaign well.”

“We have been working hard over the last couple of weeks and it has paid off.”

The victory moves the U19s to 29 points from 22 matches as the team looks to build momentum in the second half of the season.

With confidence growing within the squad, the Young Punters will now aim to carry this winning form into the remaining fixtures as they continue their climb up the Northern Region Soccer League table.
