MWOS FC Queens Smash Goal Scoring Record in Emphatic 15-0 Victory Over Chitungwiza Queens
MWOS FC Queens produced a breathtaking attacking display at MWOS Ngoni Stadium, thrashing Chitungwiza Queens 15-0 in a dominant performance that set a new club record for the most goals scored in a single match.
The Queens delivered a statement performance, combining clinical finishing, fluid attacking combinations and relentless pressure to overwhelm their opponents from the opening whistle to the final minute.
The Punters wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Stella Denya opening the scoring in the fourth minute before Tawananyasha Mandishara doubled the advantage five minutes later. Palatial Makaruse added a third in the 15th minute after a well-weighted forward pass from Nisha Munyengeterwa.
Merian Genti then extended the lead in the 19th minute with a superb effort from the flank before Mandishara struck again in the 21st minute, racing beyond the defensive line to finish one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
Denya completed her brace in the 27th minute, capitalising on a delivery from Genti, who continued to torment the opposition defence. Genti added her second in the 31st minute before completing a first-half hat-trick in the 38th minute with a composed finish in a one-on-one situation.
Makaruse rounded off the first-half scoring in the 44th minute, connecting with another dangerous delivery from Genti to send the Queens into the break with a commanding 9-0 lead.
The second half resumed with the same intensity, as Mandishara completed her hat-trick in the 49th minute following a delivery from Doreen Rugayo. She struck again just three minutes later with a brilliant effort to make it 11-0.
Genti continued her outstanding performance in the 55th minute, finding the net with a dangerous effort from the flank to take the scoreline to 12-0.
The Queens maintained their attacking momentum through the closing stages, with Genti adding two more goals in the 87th and 89th minutes to cap a remarkable individual display. Victoria Dzikiti then put the finishing touch on the performance in the 90th minute, sealing a memorable 15-0 victory for the Punters.
Beyond the emphatic scoreline, the performance highlighted the Queens’ attacking depth, movement off the ball, ability to exploit wide areas and growing confidence in the final third.
Speaking after the match, head coach Wonder Ngoko, who was standing in for head coach Primrose Serima, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, attributing the result to the hard work and preparation undertaken during the week.
“I’m so happy with the way the girls played. We trained the whole week, and the results have been shown,” said Ngoko.
The stand-in coach also highlighted the significance of breaking the team’s previous scoring record, noting that the result reflected the squad’s continued development and progress.
“I’m glad we also broke the highest record of goals we have ever scored as the Queens, and we also continue to develop tremendously,” he added.
The 15-0 triumph surpasses the Queens’ previous best scoring record of 13-0, marking a new milestone for the team and underlining their progress as an attacking unit.
For MWOS FC Queens, the victory represents more than just three points. It is a reflection of the team’s improving cohesion, attacking efficiency and ability to translate training-ground preparation into match-day performance.
With such a commanding display, the Punters will look to carry this confidence and momentum into their upcoming fixtures as they continue their pursuit of consistency and further development.
