“One game at a time” – Lloyd Mutasa.

After a thrilling encounter that ended in a one-all draw against Golden Eagles, Lloyd Mutasa said they are building the team’s confidence and taking it one game at a time.

The Punters were in good form last Sunday when they faced Golden Eagles at Ngoni Stadium. Much of the first half was played in the middle of the pitch as both teams made attempts to control possession and create more chances. However, despite all the action the first half had in store, no goals were scored.

The big break came in the second minute of the second half. The goal came from the familiar feet of Marshal Kawashu, who scored his third goal of the season. The game went on to see Eagles head coach receive a red card, followed by another red card from an infield player who punched Lindel Mupfumisi. Against the odds, Eagles struck one back in the 78th minute and defended well to force a draw.

“We are just taking it one game at a time, and we are a few points behind the league leaders, so we are not really thinking about our position in the league but rather trying to find the best approach for our next game”.
MWOS FC will face Ngezi U19 FC on Friday, May 19, 2023.
